The Blue Rabbit House

My name is Eva Vercauteren and I live in Antwerp, Belgium. Crafting and drawing has been an important part of my daily life ever since I can remember. My source of inspiration comes from nature and more specifically its fauna and flora.

I believe a stunning illustration can be more than just an a stunning piece of art. Therefor I started experimenting with getting my own illustrations printed onto fabric and began turning them into bags. Being a hobby knitter made me want to have a project bag for my knitting projects and the first project bag was born. Knowing that somebody is using my bag, something I made with my own two hands, which feature my drawing is an amazing feeling.

In 2017, organic cotton fabrics were introduced and more and more products and materials have become more ecofriendly and sustainable.

All fabric products are made out of GOTS certified 100% organic cotton printed with eco-friendly water based inks in Berlin, Germany. All prints are unique illustrations made by The Blue Rabbit House and digitally printed for the most detailed results.

The lining is a 100% cotton sourced in Belgium and the interfacing is high quality 100% cotton, to make the bags more durable. Polyester thread is used, but sourced from a company who cleans their own water and used ethically made materials.

Vegan, biodegradable cork is used as finishing details for the project bags and crossbody bags and works as the best and most eco-friendly alternative for leather and makes all bags by The Blue Rabbit House 100% vegan.

All bags are sewn in my small studio in Antwerp, Belgium.
